I honestly feel that the deal was SO good that the DEAL was the actual Wayfair mistake and once realized was snatched back from me because they refuse to allowit to go so cheaply. I scored a great open box deal on an item i have long sought after. On 11/10/2020, I spoke to Brittany who said that it was on backorder (which I verified on Wayfair on the My Orders section). They charged my card $920 For the 2 piece living room set I purchased.A week later I had "Outstanding balance: of $920 on my account, and therefore my order cannot be shipped. Long story short I realized I am dealing with a rip-off company that care more about my money then my actual experience, so I asked to cancel my purchase.The supervisor told me that I can't cancel the purchase, but because I asked to cancel they will send an order to the warehouse to "re-route" my order and I will need to pay for the re-route. On Delivery Day, we asked for a minute to open the boxes to inspect the items. Oh... wait a minute. Never received a call or email, etc. During this COVID pandemic, they wouldn't allow a return beyond their 30 day return policy. Wayfair has a great selection of furniture and decor with great and affordable prices. Given their error and that we would not be present prior to the time needed for use during the re-delivery windows offered, we asked that it be dropped off the next business day or two as we had a previously scheduled elevator reservation window for another vendor that could be used.The Wayfair rep was not helpful at all - just kept repeating the options (take her delivery date, sit on hold for 20 minutes to talk to a supervisor, receive a call-back in 7-10 days, or pay out of pocket to return the partial bed). 4) Customer service and their management will not honor this new price and will charge me $500 for 're-routing' the furniture if I return it.
